Philodendron ‘Splendid’ – 4"
The name fits. Philodendron ‘Splendid’ is a spectacular climbing hybrid combining two legendary velvet-leaf philodendrons: Philodendron verrucosum × Philodendron melanochrysum.
Its elongated, velvety green leaves develop striking pale veining and a rich, almost luminous texture. As the plant matures and begins climbing, the foliage can become dramatically larger—making Splendid one of those plants that gets better and better with age.
Give it something to climb and let it show off.

Why We Love It
Splendid brings together some of the best characteristics of both of its parent plants: the dramatic elongated foliage of melanochrysum and the beautiful texture and veining associated with verrucosum. Young plants are beautiful, but this is a philodendron with serious potential as it matures.
Bigfoot Tip
Give it a pole. Splendid is a climber, and providing a moss pole, plank, or other vertical support can encourage larger, more mature foliage. Keep it in bright indirect light with an airy growing medium and avoid keeping the roots continuously wet.
Please note: Plants are living, naturally variable products. The plant pictured represents the variety, approximate size, and quality you can expect. Individual plants may vary in leaf count, coloration, shape, and growth.
